Sub Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income Strategy Coverage

Location: New York, NY

About the Company: Our client, a $10bn+ global hedge fund. With some of the biggest performing Portfolio Managers in the industry, they are looking to add market leading junior talent to their succession planning.

Successful candidates will join in a SubPM capacity under the mentorship of a lead PM.

Candidates will receive day 1 capital and a PnL cut associated with their personal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the lead portfolio manager in managing and executing trading strategies.
• Manage a carve-out portfolio with a focus on Fixed Income strategies.
• Suitable coverage areas include - FX , STIR, Bond RV, Directional Macro, Credit, Converts, Eq Derivatives, Mortgages, FX Vol, Cross Asset Vol.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities.
• Develop and implement trading strategies to maximize returns and manage risk.
• Monitor portfolio performance and make adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure alignment with overall investment objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Fixed Income Hedge Fund focused trading seat.
• Proven track record of successful portfolio management and trading performance. PnL Track required.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
