Company Description We have several clients seeking accountants or senior accountants to join their team. All remote in a CPA firm environment. CPA or in the process of obtaining a CPA license is preferred. Job Description As an Accountant or Senior Accountant you will provide strategic financial insights, ensure compliance, and lead key accounting processes. Responsibilities include: Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated reports for multi-entity organizations. Coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory and compliance standards. Developing and implementing robust financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy. Overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis for clients. Preparing detailed financial reports and presentations for clients. Driving strategic initiatives to enhance financial reporting processes through automation and innovative solutions. Assist in the audit process. Assist in tax preparartion and filing. Work with generla accounting and bookkeeping functions to include; payroll, AR/AP, reconciliations, general ledger, etc. Providing mentorship and leadership to junior accountants. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies. Staying informed about changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying updates to internal processes and documentation. Qualifications Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Must-have: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (master's preferred). CPA or in the process of obtaining. 3-5+ years of progressive professional experience in accounting, all within a public accounting/CPA firm. Advanced knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance standards. Proficiency in accounting software. Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of identifying and resolving financial discrepancies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to senior leadership and stakeholders. Nice-to-have: Expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel functions. Prior experience in audits and ensuring compliance with evolving financial regulations. Industry-specific expertise (e.g., healthcare, manufacturing, non-profit finance, etc.). Maintain impeccable financial records and compliance standards, ensuring no audit discrepancies. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
