Job Description

Staffing Delivered is proud to partner with our client—a growing organization in the animal nutrition and manufacturing sector—to find a skilled Finance Manager to join their U.S. team in Buena Vista, Virginia.

About the Role

The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness and efficiency by providing leadership in financial and compliance functions across the U.S. operations. This includes supporting the growth of the feed additives business, driving strategic financial planning, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Working cross-functionally with the commercial and operations teams, this role will help support sustainable profit growth through both organic and non-organic business initiatives.

Main Purpose

To ensure cost-effective and efficient operations by leading all compliance and financial functions, including budget development, planning, and reporting. This role also oversees customer and supplier accounts, manages CPA and PEO relationships, and supports the sales team in growing the company’s market presence in the U.S.

  • Reports to the UK-based Group Financial Controller or Finance Director.

  • Commercial, Sales, and Finance teams across the organization

This role includes one direct report: Administration Assistant (based in Buena Vista).

Provide administrative and analytical support to the sales and marketing teams.

Manage company insurance and ensure adequate coverage.

Promote best practices in systems usage.

Budget & Forecasting

Lead U.S. budgeting and forecasting with operations and sales leaders.

Compliance Tracking

Ensure compliance with tax and product registrations across all operating states.

External Advisor Management

Oversee relationships with CPA and PEO firms.

Responsibilities by Function

Financial Management, Planning, and Analysis (40%)

  • Lead routine and long-term financial planning and forecasting.
  • Oversee month-end/year-end close, reporting, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Manage cash flow, inventory, and tax reporting.
  • Liaise with central finance on treasury, banking, and tax.

Business Compliance (30%)

  • Act as the primary contact for legal, licensing, and regulatory matters.
  • Manage insurance policies and ensure risk mitigation.
  • Oversee compliance with Department of State and Department of Taxation filings.
  • Supervise local CPA and PEO relationships.

Team Management (5%)

  • Manage and develop direct reports.
  • Lead recruitment and onboarding for any new hires.

General (25%)

  • Develop and track KPIs for U.S. operations.
  • Collaborate with operations and sales to improve performance.
  • Support customer service, including order processing and communications.

Qualifications and Experience

  • CPA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in general ledger, financial reporting, and tax.
  • ERP implementation experience (IFS preferred).
  • People management and development skills.
  • Familiarity with U.S. regulatory, licensing, and insurance practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing and customer service environments.
